Tapestry, Inc. Strategic Highlights
Tapestry advanced its Amplify growth strategy, which is focused on four key pillars that underpin durable growth:

  • Build Emotional Connection with Consumers
  • Fuel Fashion Innovation and Product Excellence
  • Deliver Compelling Experiences to Drive Global Growth
  • Ignite the Power of our People

This strategy is driving the Company’s results and deepening the competitive advantages that support long-term growth.

Highlights from the fiscal first quarter of 2027 included:

  • Drove strong new customer acquisition globally, welcoming 2.6 million new consumers in the quarter, of which approximately 35% were Gen Z; at the same time, demand from existing customers increased, demonstrating the Company’s ability to create lasting consumer relationships;
  • Achieved strong growth in the core leathergoods offering, led by handbag revenue gains at Coach, where handbag AUR increased at a low-double-digit percentage rate and units rose low-single digits, underscoring the brand's desirability, innovation, and value proposition;
  • Delivered broad-based growth across regions, gaining market share, and expanding the overall category. On a pro forma constant currency basis in the first quarter, North America revenue grew 4%, Europe revenue increased 22%, and APAC revenue rose 28%, which included Greater China growth of 39%. Coach delivered 16% growth, including 7% growth in North America and 30% growth internationally;
  • Drove 9% Direct-to-Consumer revenue growth on a pro forma basis, exceeding expectations, with store revenue growing low-double-digits and digital increasing mid-single-digits. In addition, wholesale growth of approximately 30% was driven by international markets; strong profitability in each channel allows the Company to meet consumers where they are, delivering brand-accretive experiences while generating compelling returns.

Overall, Tapestry grew pro forma revenue by 12%, non-GAAP operating profit by 24%, and non-GAAP earnings per diluted share by 32%, demonstrating the compounding advantages of its brand-building capabilities, global scale, and disciplined execution.

Shareholder Return Programs
The Company now expects to return approximately $2.0 billion to shareholders in Fiscal 2027 through its capital return programs, an increase from prior guidance, which includes approximately $700 million returned in the fiscal first quarter:

  • Dividend: The Company’s Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.4625 per common share payable on December 21, 2026 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on December 4, 2026. In Fiscal 2027, the Company continues to anticipate an annual dividend of $1.85 per share.
  • Share Repurchases: Tapestry now expects to repurchase $1.7 billion in common stock in the fiscal year under its existing share repurchase authorization, an increase of $350 million versus its prior guidance. During the first quarter, the Company spent $600 million to repurchase approximately 4.6 million shares of its common stock at an average cost of $130 per share.

Non-GAAP Reconciliation
During the fiscal first quarter of 2027, Tapestry recorded charges related to distribution network optimization initiatives that decreased operating income by $15 million, net income by $11 million, and diluted earnings per share by $0.06.

Please refer to the Financial Schedules included herein for a full reconciliation of the Company’s reported GAAP to non-GAAP results.

Financial Outlook
Tapestry is raising its Fiscal 2027 outlook, which is provided on a non-GAAP and comparable 52-week versus 52-week basis:

  • Revenue of approximately $8.5 billion to $8.6 billion, representing approximately 6% to 7% growth on a constant currency basis versus prior year. Foreign currency is expected to be a 30 basis point benefit to revenue growth in the fiscal year. This is above prior guidance of $8.4 billion to $8.5 billion;
  • Operating margin expansion of approximately 100 basis points versus prior year. This is above prior guidance for an increase of approximately 50 basis points;
  • Net interest expense of approximately $60 million versus prior guidance of approximately $55 million;
  • Tax rate of approximately 18% versus prior guidance of approximately 18.5%;
  • Weighted average diluted share count of approximately 200 million, versus prior guidance of approximately 203 million;
  • Earnings per diluted share of $8.25 to $8.35, representing 17% to 18% growth versus prior year. This is above prior guidance of $7.80 to $7.90;
  • Adjusted free cash flow approaching $1.7 billion, including CapEx and Cloud Computing costs of $300 million or approximately 3% to 4% of revenue. This is unchanged from prior guidance.

In addition, for the second fiscal quarter of 2027, the Company expects:

  • Revenue growth of approximately 5% to 6% on a constant currency basis versus prior year. Foreign currency is expected to be a 70 basis point benefit to revenue growth in the fiscal quarter;
  • Earnings per diluted share of approximately $3.05, representing low-teens growth versus prior year.

Please note the Company’s non-GAAP outlook:

  • Excludes the impact of the 53rd week in Fiscal 2027, which is expected to contribute an additional percentage point to annual revenue growth and have a neutral impact on operating margin for the full fiscal year;
  • Embeds a low-to-mid-20% tariff rate on U.S. inventory receipts in Fiscal 2027, resulting in a modest net benefit from tariffs year-over-year;
  • Embeds current global tax policies, including the impact of OECD Pillar Two guidance;
  • Includes foreign currency exchange rates using spot rates at the time of forecast;
  • Assumes no material worsening of inflationary pressures or consumer confidence.

Given the dynamic nature of these and other external factors, financial results could differ materially from the outlook provided.

The Company is not able to provide a full reconciliation of the non-GAAP financial measures to GAAP presented in this release and on the Company’s conference call because certain material items that impact these measures have not yet occurred and cannot be reasonably estimated at this time. Management utilizes non-GAAP and constant currency measures to conduct and evaluate its business during its regular review of operating results for the periods affected and to make decisions about Company resources and performance. The Company believes presenting these non-GAAP measures, which exclude items affecting comparability, is useful to investors and others in evaluating the Company’s ongoing operating and financial results in a manner that is consistent with management’s evaluation of business performance and in understanding how such results compare with the Company’s historical performance. Additionally, the Company believes presenting these metrics on a constant currency basis will help investors and analysts to understand the effect of significant year-over-year foreign currency exchange rate fluctuations on these performance measures and provide a framework to assess how business is performing and expected to perform excluding these effects.

The Company reports information in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ("GAAP"). The Company's management does not, nor does it suggest that investors should, consider non-GAAP financial measures in isolation from, or as a substitute for, financial information prepared in accordance with GAAP. Further, the non-GAAP measures utilized by the Company may be unique to the Company, as they may be different from non-GAAP measures used by other companies.

The Company operates on a global basis and reports financial results in U.S. dollars in accordance with GAAP. Percentage increases/decreases in net sales for the Company and each segment have been presented both including and excluding currency fluctuation effects from translating foreign-denominated sales into U.S. dollars and compared to the same periods in the prior quarter and fiscal year. The Company calculates constant currency net sales results by translating current period net sales in local currency using the prior year period’s currency conversion rate. Due to the sale of Stuart Weitzman on August 4, 2025, the Company presents pro forma net sales and related growth rates, which exclude Stuart Weitzman’s Net sales from the prior year period. In the Summary of Pro Forma Revenue Information table, Greater China includes mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong SAR, and Macao SAR. Other Asia includes Australia, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and other countries primarily within Asia. Other primarily represents royalties earned from the Company's licensing partners and sales in the Middle East.

The Company presents certain non-GAAP measures, including segment operating income (loss), segment SG&A expenses, segment gross profit, SG&A expense ratio, operating margin, Operating Income (loss), Provision for income taxes, Net income (loss) and Net Income (loss) per diluted common share, which exclude items affecting comparability such as Distribution Network Optimization Costs, Acquisition and Divestiture Costs and Organizational Efficiency Costs, as applicable. A reconciliation to the most directly comparable GAAP measures is provided in the tables accompanying this release.

The Company also presents Adjusted Free Cash Flow, which is a non-GAAP measure, and is calculated as Net cash provided by (used in) operating activities less Purchases of property and equipment, adjusted for the cash impacts of Items affecting comparability included in operating cash flows related to Distribution Network Optimization Costs, Acquisition and Divestiture Costs and Organizational Efficiency Costs, and Changes in operating assets and liabilities of items affecting comparability. The Company believes that Adjusted Free Cash Flow is an important liquidity measure of the cash that is available after capital expenditures for operational expenses, investment in our business and items affecting comparability. The Company believes that Adjusted Free Cash Flow is useful to investors because it measures the Company’s ability to generate or use cash. Once our business needs and obligations are met, cash can be used to maintain a strong balance sheet, invest in future growth and return capital to stockholders.

The Company also presents Leverage Ratio, which is a non-GAAP metric, and is calculated as total debt, which includes Current debt and Long-term debt, divided by Adjusted EBITDA for the trailing twelve months. Adjusted EBITDA is calculated as Net Income (Loss), excluding: Interest expense, net; Provision for income taxes; Depreciation and amortization; Cloud Computing amortization; Share-based compensation; and Items affecting comparability including Distribution Network Optimization Costs, Acquisition and Divestiture Costs, Organizational Efficiency Costs and IEEPA tariff refunds. The Company believes that the Leverage Ratio is an important metric to assess the strength of our balance sheet and credit quality and demonstrates our commitment to maintaining an investment-grade credit rating.
